From supporting the basic activities of daily life to navigating the most complex challenges in our society, it’s amazing what technology can do to support people to live inclusive, fulfilling lives.

About This Priority

Screen readers. Assistive listening devices. Voice-activated lights and appliances. Remote monitoring systems. These and so many other innovative technologies have the power to support people to live more independently and more safely. And the difference is clear: assistive technology not only supplements the services providers deliver, but it also makes it possible for people to be independent when staffing shortages might otherwise threaten access to community.
